About Me

Gabriel Dulcu — GMBPsS, GQHP

Psychotherapist — online, UK

“I am Gabriel Dulcu, a psychotherapist working with professionals navigating burnout, anxiety, and the kind of exhaustion that doesn’t resolve with rest.

My practice draws on Integrative Psychotherapy, EMDR, and Clinical Hypnotherapy — adapting the method to the person and the issue rather than applying a single framework. I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS), registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR/GHSC), and trained to EMDR Europe standard.”

A synthesis of logic, experience and empathy

Before training as a therapist, I spent over thirty years in business — founding and running companies in the technology sector, in senior executive roles. The weight of high-stakes decisions, sustained pressure, and the difficulty of stepping out of performance mode are things I know directly, not from textbooks.

I retrained fully: a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, a 650-hour accredited psychotherapy programme, EMDR Europe training, and clinical hypnotherapy certification. In doing so, I brought together the analytical rigour of a first career with the exploratory methods of psychological work.

My commitment and my approach

What I bring to your process

Life experience and clinical rigour

I do not come with theory alone. Working with me, you will find a partner who understands structure, pressure, and the need for tangible results — within a safe and consistent clinical framework.

How we approach change

Clarity and validated methods — EMDR, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and others

My approach is active. I use EMDR to address trauma held in the nervous system, and hypnotherapy to reach patterns that conversation alone cannot easily access. I also draw on mindfulness, psychosynthesis, and other self-regulation approaches. The aim is to move from stuckness toward autonomy.

Online therapy for professionals navigating complex transitions.

Living and working in the UK gives me a direct understanding of what it means to function well on the outside while something feels increasingly off on the inside. Here, you do not need to simplify or justify your experience — the conversation can go where it needs to from the beginning.

I offer a safe, confidential therapeutic space for professionals at any stage — whether you are in the middle of a crisis or simply noticing that things no longer feel sustainable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do online sessions work?

We meet via Zoom. You will need a stable internet connection and a private, comfortable space. I send the link once we confirm the session. It helps to have water nearby and, if you want, something to write with. Putting your phone on silent allows you to be fully present.

Between 50 and 90 minutes, depending on the type of work. Standard sessions are 50–60 minutes. EMDR and hypnotherapy sessions are typically longer.

We discuss this in the first session. Most people work weekly or fortnightly. The decision is yours. EMDR sessions can occasionally run on consecutive days when the process calls for it.

Keeping a consistent day and time helps build the structure that supports the work.

It depends on what brings you, what you want to achieve, and the progress made. Some focused issues — a specific phobia, a defined transition — may resolve in a relatively small number of sessions. More complex work takes longer. We assess this together as we go.

It is also common to work for a period, pause, and return when something else surfaces. There is no fixed contract.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation to help you decide whether working together makes sense.

My primary practice is online. A limited number of in-person sessions can be arranged in London or Sussex — please contact me for details.

Fees are discussed transparently in the introductory session. The rate depends on session type and length. EMDR and hypnotherapy sessions are longer and priced accordingly. Payment is by bank transfer or Revolut. Advance payment is required for the first session; discounted packages are paid in full upfront.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations — under 24 hours — are charged in full, except in genuine emergencies.

The research consistently says yes. Many people find that working from a familiar environment — without travel, without a waiting room — actually makes it easier to arrive at the session in the right frame of mind. It is where most of my practice happens, and in my experience it works well.

Free 15-minute session

A short, no-pressure conversation to explore how we might work together.

We can talk about what’s on your mind, how I work, and what the process would look like.

This is not a therapy session — it’s a first step to see how I work and whether it feels right for you.
